Caterina Giovanna Penza (or Pensa) was born in or about 1721. She married the architect Tommaso Temanza in 1739 and was still living in 1789.
NG 3934 is a pendant to a portrait of the sitter\'s husband (Venice, Accademia). Both pictures can probably be dated to about 1760 on the basis of the apparent ages of the sitters.
