One of the damsels holds a box of healing balm with which to anoint the Blessed Reginald. On the right they appear to Saint Dominic holding the new habit. The reverse of NG 3417 has the remains of a marbled decoration.
The picture is probably part of a cupboard or tabernacle door; there appears to be a hinge mark on the left.
