On the reverse is a drawing of concentric squares.
NG 1200 is part of the upper tier of an altarpiece, from which NG 1201 also derives. Other sections from this work survive: main tier, left, Saints Francis and Agatha with a Kneeling Donor (Turin, Galleria Sabauda); main tier, centre, Saint Andrew (Milan, Brera); main tier, right, Saints Catherine and Sebastian (Milan, Brera). All the works are associated with the style of Ferrari, but could be related to the work of Martino Spanzotti (active 1480; died 1525/8), or another as yet unidentified painter.
