NG 6508.1 and 6508.2 were the wings of an altarpiece, possibly flanking an \'Ecce Homo among Clouds\'. The classical elements of their style strongly suggest that the altarpiece was painted after van Heemskerck\'s return from Italy, probably in about 1540.
