Angels collect blood in chalices from the wounds of Christ. The Magdalen embraces the foot of the Cross. To the left stand the Virgin and Saint John; to the right, Longinus and another soldier. The skull and bone in the foreground indicate that the site is Golgotha.
The style of NG 718 is close to that of NG 1082 and 1084.
