In the past the work has been attributed to numerous Venetian painters active in the early fifteenth century, but its condition makes firm attribution difficult. A part of the landscape derives from that in Giovanni Bellini\'s Resurrection (Berlin, Gemäldegalerie), and the town and bridge recur in the background of Busati NG 3084.<BR>Bought from Richetti by Sir A.H.
