On the right are Saints Peter and Dominic with Saint Francis kneeling.<BR>Benozzo was contracted to paint NG 283 on 23 October 1461 for the Compagnia di Santa Maria della Purificazione e di San Zanobi in Florence, a confraternity for boys also known as the Compagnia di San Marco because it was attached to the Dominican convent there. The work was to be finished by 1 November 1462. Five predella panels are known: London, Royal Collection; Milan, Brera; Berlin, Gemäldegalerie; Washington, Kress collection; Philadelphia, J.G.
