Saints Peter, holding keys, Romuald, founder of the Camaldolese Order (in white), Lawrence, Gregory, Dominic and two unidentified male saints (one of whom may be Philip) assist at the Coronation of the Virgin (see NG 1897).
NG 216 was part of an altarpiece said by Vasari to have been made for the Camaldolese monastery (now destroyed) of S. Benedetto fuori della Porta a Pinti, Florence. A possible pinnacle is the Virgin Annunciate (Pasadena, Norton Simon collection) which may have been above NG 216.
