Second row: Saints John the Baptist, a youthful saint, Julian (?), Nicholas, Dominic, Catherine of Alexandria. Third row: Saint James the Greater, an apostle, Saints John Gualberto (?), Bernard (?), Anthony Abbot, Agnes. Fourth row: an apostle, Saint Mark (?), a holy martyr pope, Saints Augustine (?), Jerome, Scholastica. Back row: Saint Ambrose (?), a young saint with a sword (Julian ?), Saint Ursula (?).
NG 569.3 was part of the high altarpiece of S. Pier Maggiore, Florence; see commentary under NG 578 and the reconstruction in Appendix A.
