Copies of the altarpiece in the Certosa, Pavia, record the appearance of the panels before they were cut down between 1784 and 1856. Tobias\'s dog, who appears at the base of the panel, is seen more clearly in the copy. A metalpoint drawing of these figures is in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford.
Recorded in the Certosa, Pavia, until 1784 (mentioned by Vasari in 1550); bought in Milan, Melzi collection, 1856.
